ONLINE SALES – CONSUMER TERMS (UK ONLY)

These terms apply only where you are purchasing goods from Ash Door Furniture via our website and you are a Consumer.

For the purposes of this section:

  • “Consumer” means an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

  • If you are purchasing goods in the course of business, our standard Trade Terms & Conditions apply instead.

These terms apply to online orders delivered within the United Kingdom only.

2. How the Contract is Formed

2.1 All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance by us.

2.2 After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. This does not mean your order has been accepted.

2.3 A legally binding contract is formed only when we send you written confirmation that your order has been accepted and/or the goods have been dispatched.

2.4 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, including where:

  • Goods are unavailable

  • There has been a pricing or technical error

  • We suspect fraudulent activity

3. Price & Payment

3.1 All prices displayed on our website for Consumer sales include VAT where applicable.

3.2 Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order.

3.3 Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.

4. Delivery

4.1 We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe at checkout or in your order confirmation.

4.2 Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed.

4.3 Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you have provided.

4.4 If we fail to deliver within 30 days (unless otherwise agreed), you may be entitled to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

5. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

5.1 If you are a Consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

5.2 The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you receive the goods.

5.3 To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear written statement (for example by email).

5.4 If you cancel, you must return the goods to us within 14 days of informing us of cancellation.

5.5 You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

5.6 We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery charges, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or evidence of return).

5.7 We may reduce your refund if the goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

6. Exception – Made to Order / Bespoke Goods

6.1 Many of our pull handles are made to order to your specifications.

6.2 Where goods are made to your specific measurements, finish selection, or other personalised requirements, the statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply.

6.3 By placing an order for made-to-order or customised goods, you acknowledge and agree that your right to cancel under clause 5 does not apply.

6.4 This does not affect your rights if the goods are faulty or not as described.

7. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

7.1 Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7.2 Goods must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

  • As described

7.3 If goods are faulty, you may be entitled to:

  • A repair or replacement

  • A price reduction

  • A refund

Please notify us as soon as reasonably possible if you believe goods are defective.

8. Product Variations

8.1 Due to the nature of materials and finishes, slight variations in colour, finish, texture or dimensions may occur.

8.2 Such minor variations shall not constitute a defect.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law

9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, our liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods.
